This second annual report will focus on the status of our quest to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. The report will continue and expand the discussions begun in 2010.
“This report will help the advocacy organizations, lawmakers, media, and researchers sharpen the questions that arise when working towards equal rights and protections for all people regardless of sexual practice, sexual orientation, or gender identification as they go about ordering their sexual lives”, said Jeffrey Montgomery, one of Woodhull’s founders.
Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance first commissioned the material in 2009, inviting submissions from diverse and nationally recognized contributors. The Report offers the first cogent and modern exposition of the current state of sexual freedom in this country. It illustrates what has been accomplished and what still needs to be done to bring about universal sexual freedom, including but the end of repression of, and legal discrimination against, individuals who assert their fundamental right to personal sexual autonomy.
