Woodhull Featured in 64 Day Campaign for Human Rights

Human rights are universal and fundamental. More than a matter of oppression in far-off lands,
they are intrinsic to the way we treat each other in our communities, in our families, and in our homes. Breakthrough

The 64 Day Campaign for Human Rights this week focuses on seven organizations, and Woodhull is VERY proud to be featured!  Read and share with others their work to defend against violence, ensure economic justice, sexual freedom, and reproductive rights.

In commemoration of the 64th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights this year, the US Human Rights Network is highlighting 64 member and partner organizations as a way to raise awareness about the domestic human rights movement.

WOODHULL SEXUAL FREEDOM ALLIANCE

The mission of the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance is to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. Woodhull affirms and seeks public and social policies that recognize the right that all human beings have to personal autonomy, including the control of their own bodies, minds and spirits and therefore their destinies. CENTER FOR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS

The Center for Reproductive Rights uses the law to advance reproductive freedom as a fundamental human right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill. Reproductive freedom lies at the heart of the promise of human dignity, self-determination and equality embodied in both the U.S. Constitution and the Universal Declaration of  Human Rights. The Center works toward the time when that promise is enshrined in law in the United States and throughout the world. The Center envision a world where every woman is free to decide whether and when to have children; where every woman has access to the best reproductive healthcare available; where every woman can exercise her choices without coercion or discrimination. More simply put, The Center envision a world where every woman participates with full dignity as an equal member of society.
